I just noticed that the movies in which I have this “Test Movie” and “Effects” problem (subject of the previous post) all open with the following message: Could this be related to what problems Flash is encountering?

Recently I have experienced a tremendoius slowdown in Flash. It seems to load normally, but a couple of “rendering” problems: “Test Movie” or “Test Scene” is painfully slow. Also , trying to apply “Timeline Effects” is resulting in painfully slow waits (each of the above is on the order of about 3-5 minutes for the effect dialog box to come Continue Reading
I’ll throw this question out there: I have been trying to get a select statement that formerly worked in Access to work in SQL….I know that the application used the Access date delimiter # , and say that ‘ is used for SQL ….but simply plugging in ‘ in place of the # in the DB_DATE_DELIMITER variable does not do Continue Reading
I just completed a clean XP Pro install Sunday night. I am hesitating to install NAV 2004. My system before had become monstrously slow. I had a lot more things on it, and a slower boot drive (the original hard drive on my e-machines machine; 5400 rpm I expect, since it was always identified as too slow to capture video Continue Reading
JOHO and AKMA are getting hit hard by comment spammers These scum will stop at nothing. The computer industry (better yet, the consumers) need a protection agency to go after these people with the same gusto as , perhaps, the Recording industry pursuing file-swappers, only more so. Make ISP’s stop helping these people abuse the online community to traffic in Continue Reading
A question just posed itself to me: Is it possible to embed an anchor (the in a trackback, so that the destination link will know exactly where in the referring document the link has been made? This seems to me to be a key feature of helping the Web to become more supportive of Emergent attributes (Johnson refers to the Continue Reading

A link to my 0.94 install of dottext , to test to verify that trackbacks from MT do NOT work in 0.94, but after I upgrade (hopefully successfully) to 0.95 real soon, they will. The trackback FROM my dotText works fine going TO MT
a trackback to Scott’s test post in dottext 0.95
Linking to Scott’s dotText blog to see if it records the trackback
I will make a reference to this post on my dotText blog, still trying to determine why it’s not recording trackbacks from my MT blog.
This weblog works fine, and trackbacks from my Theoblogical.Net blog work here, but if I post a link back to the other, it does not catch it over there. For instance, this post will not get the trackback from THIS REFERENCE
Six Apart has made a statement about the long-awaited MT Pro, which is NOT, as some have suggested or believed, represented in TypePad, their pay-blog service (as suggested here) I suspect that the startup of Type Pad and taking care of thatbusiness had something to do with the delay of MT Pro, but Iam still waiting to see if it’s Continue Reading
I’m on locale again, gettin’ set to “pow-wow” again with Larry about “The George and the web”, and where we’re at. Read here, on my “soon to be OSG-hosted” Theoblogical.Net Blog
I made an entry on my “DotText” blog on how I ‘m entering into the second year of my journey toward a new and exciting career (not fully funded yet, but things have begun to trickle in)
