Recently I have experienced a tremendoius slowdown in Flash. It seems to load normally, but a couple of “rendering” problems: “Test Movie” or “Test Scene” is painfully slow. Also , trying to apply “Timeline Effects” is resulting in painfully slow waits (each of the above is on the order of about 3-5 minutes for the effect dialog box to come up). I’v eposted a message on the Flash Support Forum. Any suggestions welcome.

(btw, I clicked on “Timeline Effects/Transition” just before posting the above paragraph, and after about 10 minutes, the Effects dialog box appeared. When I clicked “Cancel”, the dialog box closed and the effect layer on the timeline undid itself, all in normal time (about 2 seconds). What could be happening?
