Identifying as “Ecological Churches”

If churches can identify themselves as “Bible-believing” Churches ,or “Active in the Community”, “Reconciling (referring to their acceptance of GLBTQ members) , or “Justice” Churches, or constantly reveal their falling in line with the Christian Right by emphasizing, on a constant basis, thier “opposition” to the various lists of things on the Christian Right “Disapproval” items such as Gun Control, Transgenders in the “wrong bathroom”, Gays in the ministry, etc. etc……then WHY can’t we have Churches that self-identify and cnstantly emphasize and teach “How to Be Church in this Climate Crisis”? Here we have what is arguably THE biggest justice and life issue in the history of humanity, so where are the Churches who seek “Ecological Civilization”? Isn’t this a crucial component (even a REQUIRED component) of the Kingdom of God? Isn’t this awareness of where we are , ECOLOGICALLY, an important enough awareness to move it to the center of our witness to Jesus Christ as Lord, “in whom all things hold together”?
