The “distraction” of “NOT Trump”

I see it happening every day, in almost EVERY article now. We are all day, all channels, “Not-Trump” and what this does is ensure that we aren’t thinking about the Climate Crisis. Even though it is immensely obvious that Trump represents a lot of darkness, it is also spreading the dark cloud of Climate Crisis Denial to just continue on our merry way toward thinking we are really accomplishing ANYTHING if we don’t address the Crisis for what it is and recognize that SERIOUS change is needed to avoid what we can still avoid (which is something that will prove to be MORE destructive to our world and civilization than what Trump could “accomplish”). As bad and as nightmarish as what Trump COULD POSSIBLY do, that is the situation we’re in. We CANNOT (but probably will) keep ignoring the Climate Crisis. There will ALWAYS be “other” crises. They will suck all the oxygen out of our needed coverage and education to combat the Climate Crisis, and after these there will be others. I’m thinking that this is a part of the Denial. We will look, desperately, for “other” things that “we have to fix first”. It’s a deadly psychological game. And a terrible spiritual abandonment of something that literally means life and death for EVERYONE and EVERYTHING.
