Every church denomination need to issue actual response to Pope’s theological work in LaudatoSi. Need constant, current updates of processing (ie. Not just go back into their past statements and “find a mention of ecology”. We need ongoing, updated, dialogue on what this means NOW, as things get much worse than they were back when those statements were first written, and perceived to be far less threatening that we now know they were.

The above paragraph was written as I see a lot of “releases” from Denominations that strike me as “dusting off” old statements and bringing them out , seeming to say “Hey look, we said that kind of stuff , too”. Well, no, this is almost 200 pages of intense Ecotheology. Why aren’t we ALL doing this as Church bodies?

But this is not a call to “come up with ‘OUR OWN’…..We need to JOIN in the intense conversation out of which this Encyclical arose.
