Buzzing the Inbox #buzz

Saw a comment to a Buzz post from Doc Searls about Buzz.

matthew koll – The biggest shortcoming of Google Wave was that it didn’t integrate with your Gmail inbox. The biggest problem with Buzz is that it does. … Its gonna take some trial and error to find the right blend of these communication tools. Its still early.7:36 am

This will take some time.   People are talking like Google screwed up by releasing it this way or that way,  but someone once said,  if you release something with all the bugs and problems out,  you’ve released too late.  This is not saying get things out quick without planning,  but that the usability and feature issues will always be TWEAKED by the users.  Something as BIG as BUZZ,  coming from someone as big as Google,  in a time when we have this big and growing population of social networking “gurus”,  many of whom actually study and experiment with this stuff,  will inevitably be analyzed and have its tires kicked and kicked and kicked.

Actually,  late yesterday,  Google rolled out some privacy settings features after the first 24 hours of user opinion on Buzz.  So Google is listening,  and as we know,  they are pretty quick to roll out something new,  and responses to complaints about that “something new”.

Right now,  I’m learning how to add a bookmark to all my browsers that allow me toselect anything on a web page and create a Buzz post about it. (Update: the icons below for Social Bookmarking now include Buzz It on the far right)
