We have 990 years to talk about permission to call the first 10 years of the 3000’s "Three thousand One" etc. But then its right back to Thirty Ten , etc. after that , OK? I’m worried about that.
My previous tweets leading up to this:

The song "In the year 2525" was not "In the year Two thousand five hundred twenty five". Bad argument I guess. It’s a song.10 minutes ago from TweetDeck
- dlature My theory : turn of a new millennium (and the novelty of it), and the awkwardness of "Twenty O One" etc. steered us to "two thou sand"13 minutes ago from TweetDeck

- dlature I am officially on board with referring to this year and every additional year of the 2xxx millennium as "Twenty Ten".19 minutes ago from TweetDeck
