A Long Silence

It’s been about 10 days since I posted,  which may be my personal record silent period since beginning back in June 2002.  I also do a lot of my blogging on the weekend,  and I was out of town this past weekend in Atlanta with my Dad and 2 brothers at the SEC Basketball tourney,  and the wireless signal was poor to non-existent (for I will not pay the hotel rate,  since many hotels make it freely available).  The Georgia Dome signal was erratic and slow,  and I had left my PocketPC’s AC adapter/charger at home, so my battery was quickly drained with all my attempts to find a signal.  I gave up soon.

I’ve also been relatively unmoved to blog anyway.  And so it seems with a lot of blogs that I read.  Seems everybody is up to other things.  I did get a chance to read some more in Hauerwas’ Matthew commentary,  which I’m almost through.  The last few chapters have been especially moving.  I’ll get to some specifics when I finish the last 3 chapters (or sooner,  if the urge returns).  I just haven’t felt real articulate in word or thought of late.  And after a week in which my daughter missed school Feb.26- March2 and Janet and I switched off missing work and staying home while the other went.  I was able to work from home for much of my time.  That next week I was down on the energy to blog, and so I had only a couple of blog posts last weekend.

Now it seems Janet may be coming down with what hopefully is not what Kelli had.  That thing hung on for too long.
