I just noticed the image upload for wp 2.1 from Live writer is broken. I uploaded an image to my blog (or tried) for the first time since Jan 26, when I upgraded to 2.1, and got the following error:

Invalid Server Response (with red X) and in the message box:
The response to the metaWeblog.newMediaObject method received from the weblog server was invalid.

I looked for the last post I did with an image, which was Jan 21. I upgraded to 2.1 on Jan 26th. Drat! LiveWriter had made so many things so easy for so long. I can still upload files, but only the old fashioned FTP way. I liked WLW’s “Insert Image”, choose any image from anywhere on my computer or a URL, and post, and it all went up without a hitch. WordPress forums not talking about it much, at least on first few browses through some searches on the error.

(update 2-20-07    seems the RSS feed has a blank line at the top,  which makes it technicaly invalid and causes IE’s RSS reader to recognize an “error in the feed”)
