A look at the favorites of this blogger and my reaction is “NO thanks”. Evangelical of the conservatiove kind is not so bad. Evangelical of the Ann Coulter fan type is another thing entirely. Don’t think I’ll be darkenking that corner.
Actually, this really pisses me off that such a partisan would be chosen to lead the “Faith-Based” Blogging group. Many of the “Media” people are liberal/progressive , so why is this aspect being shunned in the “Faith-Based”? Part me of me wants to go anyway and raise this every chnace I get. Part of me wants to steer clear and far away. But I’m pissed. Maybe I’ll ask Dan Gillmour, Dave Winer, and Ed Cone if I get to meet any of them (not that they had any input into who the “Faith-based blogging” leader would be.)
What would you out there do if you were me? Or, “What would Jesus Do?”
If you really want to go, I’d say go. Be present. But keep your convictions, of course. Ask appropriate questions, and if possible, let them know in a kind way that you are a part of the Body of Christ as well! 🙂
