Dale Lature:  I would think so. It’s rather ridiculous, and totally reverses a major advatage you had over traditional, old-world media. AJ America is right now a total sell out to that VERY SAME MODEL. No difference at all. If you think your content can overcome that (which I still consider very good judging by what we saw from AJE) you are folling yourself. Most of the audience who have the best appreciation of your content are NOT recipients of the cable channel, and some are devoted to severing the chord from cable, if theyhavent already. If you want to stand apart, then STAND APART. This move only perpetuated the problem.
Fixing this particular problem of future access to archival footage of AJE does not even touch the problem AJAM is going to face at being credible in its claim to “be different”. First move only says they really aren’t. And you wont be until you cut the chord, and be good at what you do, until the Cable Cos come begging to you to let them broadcast your News that doesnt depend on them in any way. How difficult is that to understand?
