I saw this message on an AlJazeera English page,

and so I decided to look into the status of their archived video, particularly some of their excellent docu-news shows such as “Empire”.

Unbelievably,  they have removed access from the States to ALL of it.  I am floored at the extent of their CAVING to the Cable monopoly over not only over ISP and Cable TV,  but also the Cable Cos mentally suspect paranoia about “owning video” and “exclusive rights”.  Comcast has proceeded to greatly reduce the amount of video available online from NBC News shows,  where previously all shows had video posted from their live shows often within an hour of the show’s completion,  and slectable/accessible back several weeks.  This is going by the wayside as well.

Al Jazeera has decided to one-up them on that,  and start cutting off access to ALL prior significant video content ,  apparently across the board.  Incredible.

I left this comment on a page for the show “Empire” , episode on “Empire of Secrets”.

AlJazeera,  this is unbelievable that not only have decided NOT to Stream Live in America,  but you actually remove access to all previous video content of all the AJE shows!!!!!!  This is so backward and ridiculous that I cannot begin to express it.  Incredible that your news brand is going to turn into a laughing stock amongst so many of the Amereicans who were drawn to AJE for its stellar, up to the minute coverage.  To direct people to “find it on TV” is simply naive,  and also extremely backward.  Shame.
