Ok. I keep hearing the right wing meme, cast at @AOC,

“the world is not ending in 12 years”

My reply to all repeating that like some kind of robotic “meme-imbibers”:

You fail to understand the reference for that. There was an IPCC paper that talked bout the importance of the next 12 years (and the next 32). Look it up and understand that before you react with a right wing understanding (which is basically NOTHING) of the scientific consensus on our ecological crisis. The “end” is well understood to be talking about “the beginning of the end”, an “end” which is not yet written in stone, nor is it inevitable as to the severity of the ecological consequences. That’s what the “12 years” is all about. It’s about our choice to get serious, or face a lot of “end” to life as we have known it.
