Abandoning Abundant Life

How many more “Record Storms” and “Record Floods” and “Record Wildfires” and “Record Heatwaves” and “100 year this and that” are we going to have to have before we start seeing churches , in masse, confessing as to their complicity in the biggest destruction and injustice known in human history?

I’m talking sheer consequences and wide reach here, not any particular state of depravity required to be involved in such. I have conceded that prior to the first signs of scientific discovery and attention to atmospheric ecology, and the beginnings of what is now known as Climate Science, the accountability/negligence factor was unknown and unrealized.

That is no longer the case. We have continued on, largely unabated, since we began to know. We simply “don’t want to know”, or some have known, and, determined to keep their economic positions in place, have worked to deceive us and distract us from doing what we must to combat this.

And so here we are. Battling consequences of unprecedented scope and frequency. And that, while the U.S. has elected a President, who has appointed an administration, that is in full compliance with deception and gutting of regulations KNOWN to be actually protecting us. But these people do not care. They are in it for themselves and themselves only.

So our own government is on the dark side of what we face, and also a blasphemous chunk of the “Christian” landscape. Either in full, insane support of the insane destruction being hoisted on our people and our Common Home, or in traitorous, unfaithful silence in the face of this unprecedented deterioration of our Home’s systems. Whichever it is, the church has been found silent and therefore unfaithful to its call to not only preach “abundant life” , but to BE abundant life.
