What I love about @keitholbermann

Keith says it so well:

The Ultimate dishonesty: That “balancing”  a LIE for every truth is somehow “fair”.

Amen, Keith. Check it out. I perked up when he mentioned the online elements.  I wish I could be involved somehow.

Keith is one of those select few journalists who doesn’t hide “himself” under a bushel.  He communicates to us what he thinks about the news he’s bringing. I am SO SICK of the “middle ground” that seeems to be the sacrosanct approach of the mainstream media.  But “mainstream” for me is “of the people”,  and the “mainstream media” is leading THE mainstream astray in droves.  I cringe now when I hear friends say ,  nearly everytime,  that we have to ,  “to be balanced” or “to be fair”,  to hear “something” from “the other side”.  That in itself reveals the fallacy.  THE other side?   Doesn’t that sound a lot like saying “there are exactly TWO sides to every issue?  And that one of them is Republican and one is Democrat?  Or “liberal” and “conservative”?  “Patriotic” or “hate the troops”.

Go, Keith.  I’ve missed that.  Not that there aren’t others.  My “surrogate” Keith is Rachel and also Ed.  I see that you had a lot to do with Rachel being where she is—at least as an MSNBC delegate to the “mainstream media” who pays attention;  yea is even a “participant” in the “mainstream” of the people I hold up as the true audience who seeks true news.  Thanks for opening up the airwaves to HUMAN BEINGS.

Thank you.
