“Cutting taxes on the rich creates jobs” is GOP Code Talk for “We hate math” #peoplesBudget @maddow

Loved Rachel Maddow’s opening segment on her show last night.

The “math” is the key to slam-dunking the GOP “plan” and expose it for what it is:  NOT MATH.  Paul Ryan couldn’t respond to the rather obvious math of Obama’s speech.   They seem to be unable to respond with anything other than “this is partisan”.  Math certainly is “partisan” if you call anything that calls your delusion into question with some facts a “partisan” speech.  I guess that MATH is partisan against their claims.

So we see the entirely predictable “Ma Ma No Taxes Ma Ma” refrain from Republicans (see TPMDC link below),  which it seems Eric Cantor is incapable of NOT interjecting into any question at all (kind of like Michelle Bachman,  who routinely answers different questions with the same answer). Again and again GOP talking heads and politicians ignore the clear math facts that the tax cuts to the rich have exactly the OPPOSITE effect of creating jobs.

It happened under Reagan,  and it happened under W. Bush. Not only no NEW jobs added,  but job gains from previous years erased and job losses skyrocket.  And still their answer is to add yet even  more tax cuts to the same people (actually,  it’s rather clear they WORK for these rich people,  and NOT “the people” to whom they give lip service.  Because they would run into yet another “math problem”.  MORE people believe that tax cuts should not be given to the rich,  and use that TRILLION dollars instead to NOT reduce the revenue.  And robotically,  the GOP and Cantor and Boehner come back with “we have to create jobs”,  and so they focus on the ONE CLEAR tactic that does just the opposite:  Tax Cuts for the rich have resulted in the loss of jobs,  not gains.  But they are never asked point blank about this.  If they are,  I have not seen it.  And I expect that when and if they are being asked ,  they answer a different question with other totally non-mathematical , non-factual answer.
