I thought a miracle had happened at first glance,  but then read on to where it said the bill would undoubtedly be filibustered in the Senate,  where the Dems don’t have the 60 votes. 

The President continues to believe that extending middle class tax cuts is the most important thing we can do for our economy right now and he applauds the House for passing a permanent extension. But, because Republicans have made it clear that they won’t pass a middle class extension without also extending tax cuts for the wealthy, the President has asked Director Lew and Secretary Geithner to work with Congress to find a way forward.

So is this REALLY acceptable to the American people?  Are they comfortable knowing that the Republicans stand by the rich so much that they would disallow middle class tax cuts if the rich don’t also get them?  Do we need much more evidence to tell everyone that the Republicans stand with the rich against the middle class?

Wow.  Poor people making over 250k.  They’d have to be dragged, kicking and screaming back to the dark ages where they lived under Clinton,  when their lives were miserable (Right!).  Be Americans, and help us when everyone knows you can afford it.  And  so do these so-called “leaders”.  When will America make them sorry they backed a small percentage over the rest of America?  When this vast majority stand up and demand it with such insistence that they will have no choice.  And then vote them the hell out the next election and let’s find some real supporters of the people.  Don’t see too many of those on the Dem side either.  How long do we have to have the choice of wimps vs disasters?
