House Dems Punt On Bush Tax Cuts? Say it ain’t so! @spineless @useless @wimps

You’ve GOT to be KIDDING me!    If this is the way it goes,  I AM DONE supporting Democrats.  I may well have to vote for them as a measure against what the present day alternative,  the Republicans actually WANT to do,  and vote instead for intentions or slogans.  Because we all know what 2000-2008 brought us.  But this crop of Democrats are total wimps.  When,  O Lord,  does an alternative to this futility arise?  Does it profit us anything to “VOTE” and then observe the lack  of spine we’ve been getting?

If the Senate’s decision not to address the Bush tax cuts until after the election is any indication, then the game is over. After a Democratic caucus meeting this morning — but before the news broke on the Senate side — there was still no answer to the question of the week: Will the House vote on President Obama’s plan to extend middle-income tax cuts? Key legislators were mum, and aides pessimistic, that the House will do what Speaker Pelosi wants to do: force a vote on tax legislation that will put Republicans on the record backing tax cuts for the wealthiest Americans. And with House Democratic leaders still insisting that they will follow the Senate’s lead, it seems more and more likely that they too will drop the tax cut issue for now.

Is It All Over? House Dems Also Punt On Upper-Income Bush Tax Cuts | TPMDC

I’d say it’s perilously close to over  if this insane …..I hesitate to call it “fiscal policy” is allowed to continue.  Folks,  trickle down is a COMPLETE MYTH.  Never in recorded economic  history has any gains in GDP failed to produce a corresponding rise in middle class income.  Never,  that is,  until Bush  W.  The corporations have pocketed it.  And the “trickle” is nowhere to be  found.  In fact,  it’s the opposite.  The money is siphoning  off to the upper 2%.  Disgusting.  Disgusting that this has been happening,  and disgusting that noone listens to the people “who went to class”.  No one checks these figures.  They just repeat the mantra “tax cuts” without a shadow of a clue what we’re doing  to ourselves.
