Facebook wins patent that exemplifies yet another case of clueless patent awards

So we have rankings according to popularity within a peer group being claimed as an exclusive/patent.  This is going to become ridiculous (or already has).  That is nothing but a naturally derived database analysis of user data relating to a particular set of  results.  Patent awarders have no clue about this.   This sounds perilously close to what bookmark sites are doing.  I just shake my head at such nonsense.  Shouldn’t computer networks and various data apps patents be reviewed by folks who actually understand the Web  and databse apps?
