Palin shrugs off oil spill: There’s always risk

Palin mused on Facebook that “no human endeavour is ever without risk”

Oh she did,  did she?  Perfect example of blind hubris.  No surprise there.

It irks me even worse to have not only her,  but other “Alaskan” politicians pushing this corporate/oil speak ,  given that they are in the state that suffered under the PREVIOUSLY worst environmental disaster.  But what have THEY to do with all those LOWLY peasants who depend on fishing for their livelihood and culture?  These “Alaskans: make me sick.  I say “Alaskans” in quote because they are “Alaskan” only in name.  They are capitalists of the worst sort.

And here they ALL are,  in the midst of this economic crisis, about to take another huge hit from this tale of ultimate hubris, not unlike that which precipitated the economic crisis,  with the same reckless disregard for the welfare of people to whom the “dream loans”   were given…..the oil companies apparently truly believed that the sky was the limit (or, in this case,  the ocean floor).  They could believe it because the greed compelled them to justify  it.

And so Sarah Palin can stand by in her upper class ,  somehow “celebrity” status and all the comfort that brings,  and chalk up the lives and culture of people who depend upon the sea for their livelihood (which will ultimately damage her along with the rest of us),  and spew such foul , selfish, inane nonsense.   One thing I think she does has as a defense:  she may well be just that stupid.
