The 41-59 "Majority"? Tell ‘em Obama #stickUpButt

You tell em Barak!  Seems rather obvious,  and Jon Stewart has been railing about this for weeks.  I love the place where Stewart points out that 59-41 is:  “a bigger majority than George Bush ever had,  when he did whatever the F*** he wanted”

Obama basically tells the Dems that same thing:

"All that’s changed in the last two weeks is that our party’s gone from having the largest Senate majority in a generation to the second largest Senate majority in a generation," the president said. "And we’ve gotta remember that."

Obama To Dems: GOP Doesn’t Have A 41-59 Majority (VIDEO) | TPM LiveWire

This is what is so maddening about the flapping of lips that goes on in the press about Washington,  and amongst the mythological fumings of the right wing that has taken over the Republican party.

It takes this kind of "snap out of it" and slap in the face from the President to say "WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON HERE?"

This is a good post. I've been wondering about this for awhile. I'm afraid Pres. Obama partially enabled it in his quest for bipartisanship with the health bill, but no one every stood up and said, "We don't *need* Republicans to do this. We can completely do it on our own." Maybe now the Senate Dems will grow a spine and get some stuff done.
