My twitter friend/followed feed had this retweet of a tweet from the Church of the Resurrection, which announces an upcoming live worship service coming up in the next hour (the service starts at 10:45 am CST….I clicked there, and prior to the start, a series of slides about various church events and programs plays. There’s also a link in the right side bar to Scriptural references, presumably for the upcoming sermon. The link uses YouVersion, another rather interesting and pretty cool tool
1 But now, this is what the Lord says—
he who created you, Jacob,
he who formed you, Israel:
“Do not fear, for I have redeemed you;
I have summoned you by name; you are mine.

Got me thinking about how to ramp up some video ideas to offer as services to church related orgs that I could offer as a feature set for a consultant/contractor specializing in church related Social Media. I have been looking at various models of video cameras, from the very cheapest (like FlipCams and Kodak’s Zi8–same style and similar features). The picture on the Kodak is pretty impressive (I took in an SD Card and recorded some footage inside the store, then played it back on the largest computer screen I could find. I suspect I will be posting several video camera reviews as I look for hardware and think about subject matter and various markets for such a service.
