My New Netbook

Hey all,

I just got a new netbook yesterday (I’ve never even owned a laptop)

It’s an ASUS PC1000HE, with a battery that they claim can last 9.5 hours.  Realistically,  it’s more like 6-7,  since I will be using wifi almost all the time it is on.  But it’s  a great feel,  nice not-too-small keyboard.

I thought I would express my glee.
I got it for $374 at Amazon.

thanks. I brought it with me on the annual trip to the SEC Mens’ basketball tourney with my Dad and 2 brothers. The wifi was pretty crappy in the hotel, and spotty in the arena, but I am delighted with the size, the feel, and the battery life, which seems to be living up to the 7 plus I expected (since 9.5 is probably with next to no extras like wifi and brighter screen settings, etc. But it has performed well in the week I have had it. The weather in Tampa was perfect.
