Back from Christmas visits

After Christmas eve with my parents and extended family in Franklin TN,  we headed up to Cincinnati Christmas day after we had our “Santa” Christmas morning at our place Christmas morning,  and we arrived in Cincy about 10:15 pm,  and did the presents thing Friday the 26th around noon.  We came back Sunday after my son and I went and met my friend Dave at a sports bar to catch all the early games of week 17,  hoping the Titans would set their all time franchise best record,  but they were miserable playing their scrubs against the Colts scrubs.  Second games would have been far more interesting (Dallas getting mauled by the Eagles,  and the Jets going down to their 4th loss in 5 games since they beat the Titans and began proclaiming that they were the best team in football ,  at that time 8-3.  They finished 9-7.  Huh huh.

The Titans play on Saturday the 10th, and it will be the Ravens if the Ravens beat Miami in this weekend’s “wildcard” round.  I hope Miami wins.  Baltimore scares me.  If the Ravens lose and the Colts beat the Chargers,  it will be the Colts we play.  They scare me too.  More so than the Ravens.  If the Ravens and the Colts lose,  then we play the Chargers.  They scare me too,  since their offense is so hot, and the Titans have not defended against too much good offense,  except early when the Colts were not going well.  Other than the Colts,  I guess Houston was the best offense we played (actually, Texans were number 3 in the NFL in total offense,  while the Colts were just 15th.  And the Titans held the Texans to 12 and 13 points,  and Green Bay (who was 8th)  to 16.  So I guess I’m totally off by feeling that the Titans don’t do well against good offenses.  We’ll see (if they have to play Indy or San Diego  who are both hot).
