Still reading Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee,  but I happened upon a copy of 1491 at Half Price Books for 5.99,  so I grabbed it. I had almost bought a copy at 12.00  just a couple days earlier. 

The subtitle: New revelations of the Americas Before Columbus.  I hope to get some sense of the kind of civilization that existed that the Westerners thought so expendable and so inferior to their own.
