Derek Webb, Reliant K, and Invisible Children

Last Thursday all four of us went downtown to RocketTown and saw and heard Derek Webb (he did “A King and a Kingdom” (my favorite) , “A New Law”,  and a couple of newer songs from a forthcoming album),   and my almost 18-year old son was aghast and impressed that Reliant K did 3 or 4 songs,  and they were all there for a screening of Invisible Children, an excellent documentary done by some young California dudes that has caused quite a stir and raised some bucks for aiding the plight of children fleeing involuntary conscription/kidnapping into military service in Uganda’s wars. We couldn’t stay for the whole film,  but I immediately looked it up and found the whole thing on Google video and watched the remainder of it when we got home.  Then a couple of those very dudes were at my place of work just down the hall screening it for our agency just three days ago.
