A couple of nights ago, I downloaded Windows Live Writer, and so far, I’m enthusiastic. I just posted something from a page (on Library Thing), and it also blockquoted the text that I had marked to quote. As often as I do that, this will be a time saver (not to mention the utility for spell-checking which , due to my bad typing, is a reputation saver.) I’m looking forward to keeping up with plugins. I know that Community Server already has one for it , and so as soon as I can start pouring my blog into Community Server (ideally, do a cross-post, or even a TRI-post to Movable Type, WordPress, and CS). I’d also like to see plugins for Amazon linking (like WordPress has in its Amazon Thing, and also a Video Player for YouTube/GoogleVideo, etc..
the scoop:
Windows Live Writer (download) is a desktop application that makes it easier to compose compelling blog posts using Windows Live Spaces or your current blog service.
