When I posted under a Facebook post on The United Methodist Church’s page —here: , I got three responses, and those three represent the 3 most common responses I hear from those who haven’t become aware of the seriousness of the Crisis we face.
1. You’re being “political” (aka “I dont agree with you, so you’re just being partisan”)
2. You’re crazy/on-drugs (aka dismissive) and
3. You’re a heretic (attention/concern re: the Climate Crisis is “Creation Worship”, a theological version of “dismissive”)
