Is it easier to oppose forces that overtly stand for what we oppose and against that for which we fight, or the ones who “speak our language” and yet bend to the rich and secretly undermine progress toward what they say they support?

Neither is easy, to be sure. But the devil we know is less dangerous than the one who operates in darkness. The history of the U.S. Response to Ecological Crisis is very much like this.
