Owning the Pipes and the Programming? (NBC_Comcast_Merge, net_neutrality)

Al Franken,  in a speech to NetRoots, re:  the merger of Comcast and NBC :

How long do you think it will take before the Fox News website loads 5 times faster than Daily Kos?

It’s amazing to me that this isn’t still all over the Twittersphere and/or Blogosphere,  at least among the people I follow and whose blogs I read regularly.  From what I can understand,  we are now in another 180-day delay which began June 25 of this year.  How on earth has this slipped “under the radar” of most somewhat intelligent netizens?  I feel a bit betrayed actually,  since I fully admit that I depend heavily upon my net community for information and news.  Looks like I need to revisit and tweak my sources to turn up the volume on this one.  It’s fallen way off the wayside and into the background.  Or do those who warned us begun to feel that this is a lost cause.  Say it ain’t so!

(Note:  I decided to put some underscores in the above non-hashed hash subject words to try to foil the marketing spam bots,  who seem to have completely taken over the hashtags used in the Twittersphere.  )
