Republicans To Unemployed: Why Won’t You All Just Get Some Jobs Already? | TPMDC

Unbelievable.  In a time when there are many “newly unemployed” and increasing periods of fruitless searches for new work,  that we have the same fat cat jerks showing us their lack of  advocacy for us,  the people,  to whom they owe their own “way too cushy” jobs.

As bad as it sounds, ultimately we do have to sometimes accept a wage that’s less than we had at our previous job in order to get back to work and allow the economy to get started again.

Paul is one of many republican jerks who are now circulating this garbage ,  apparently oblivious to the fact that this just might casue a bit of resentment.  Paul’s “insight” here is nothing short of amazing in its hubris and condescension.  He wants to tell INDIVIDUALS out of work to take a cheap paying job in order to “help the economy get on its feet again”?

Then he says this:

Nobody likes that, but it may be one of the tough love things that has to happen

I’d love to see him “laid off” from his selfish “cushy” ,  apparently isolating job,  and make his own “sacrifices”.  I don’t think he has what it takes.  I would be SO PLEASED to see the voters “lay him off” when it comes time for the voters to have their say about who they think has their back.

Of course,  we all know that these jerks have the backing of their “tea party” friends,  and of a Republican comradery that effectively stirs up a sizeable portion of conservative folks,  themselves also sufficiently isolated from the plight of millions of unemployed and “downsized”.  Only the ignorant let these kinds of bloviations goby without question.  Since I worked for a “non-profit”,  I have never been eligible for unemployment,  but I can easily spot the “fat-cat” who I can imagine spending time payed for by taxpayers on golf courses and in luxury hotels and on yachts,  tightening their grubby grip on the various safety nets with the worst display of “no clue” I have yet seen re: the human costs of a hurting economy.

Get a load of this one:

South Carolina Lt. Gov. Andre Bauer compared the unemployed to stray animals back in January, saying that unemployment insurance is a lot like helping out strays. One is “facilitating the problem if you give an animal or a person ample food supply,” he said. “They will reproduce, especially ones that don’t think too much further than that. And so what you’ve got to do is you’ve got to curtail that type of behavior. They don’t know any better.”

I have long been an advocate of cutting Senate and Representative pay during economic crises.   Why?  The above is a perfect reason.   If you continue to feed “fat cats” with the fatty foods to which they are accustomed,  they “reproduce”.  If we make it a “Pay for performance” deal,  they have a bit more incentive to do more than  simply bloviate from the comfort of their posh surroundings about how the people who sent them into their jobs are such animals.
