In dire need of some Web Contract work #wiredchurch

I still have to do my taxes,  and have no idea as to what to expect there.  But the past few days have been rough.  The money is dried up.  I have to go looking for health care again.  The state Health Care that for which we qualified back in 2003 now disqualifies us based on IRA accounts.  What?  So they want us to begin draining from our future (not to mention paying heavy penalties for early usage of IRA funds?).  This has both of us (me and my wife)  all tied up in knots and very anxious.  To top it off,  I have some things that disqualify me because of pre-existing conditions from getting much of any useful coverage.  And then I have to have some way to pay for it.  I can do Web development, WordPress admin, and have experience with SQLServer data (church related data in particular over the past 13 years in two Methodist agencies.)

I want very badly to do more than Web development,  but I need something now,  and I would very much like to do this for the church.  I’m very disappointed that my passions for helping the church do online community and social media has not been used by the church.  If there was one place where the gifts of the people who work for the church should be encouraged,  enabled,  and evoked,  it is in church organizations.  Sometimes I have to wonder where the “business” overshadows the “church”.  If anybody has any ideas as to where I might offer myself, please contact me.

I am awaiting the M2Live Webcast coming up in about 20 minutes.  I know that I am going to experience some deep feelings of being left out as I watch this.  I’ve followed a call to this work for 20 years now,  and I ‘m not about to give up,  but I need something right now that tells me that what I have to offer is even wanted anymore.  Pray for me.
