Oh, well. It was his third best season out of 8 as a red (2005, 2000, and 2007), and at least now the Reds don’t “need” him. I was a little bummed that his power dropped off (he had 23 homers in 82 games at the break, only 7 in 62 games since) so that he didn’t reach 600 by the end of the year (593).
