I am still getting Trackback Pings, even though I set all my entries entry_allow_pings column to 0 (every one of them), and rebuilt the individual archive pages. Is there another step I need to take to keep the pings out?

One thing you could try is renaming the trackback ping file (I think it’s mt-tb.cgi). Try changing it to anything else, and be sure to update the mt.cfg file about halfway-to-2/3rds of the way down where you can tell it to look to other names for comments, trackback, etc. files.
