What is God Calling Me To Today?

I have been thinking this morning about how I want to devote some time to continuing the work, as a “pro-bona”, volunteer work to do “on the side” of my full time job. The skills between the two are “interchangeable” (one can draw on and improve the other, and ideas discovered in one can be transferred to the other). The pro-bona work, of course, is Old Saint George. When I started my present job in April of this year, we went to Cincinnati during the school spring break, and I did some wrap up stuff. But since then, there seems to have been very little done to advance this, and actually put it into action, so it’s sat there. Part of that, I’m sure, is due to a lot of other basic survival stuff like paying the bills, keeping the vision of The Great Good Place for Community and Spiritual Renewal alive and circulating.

The question here, as put forth in the title of this post, is what am I supposed to do now? I have a hunch that perhaps I have waited too long since landing my new job in April, to begin to contribute some of my “volunteer time” to serving the Church. Now we’re in this “Post 11/2 World”, where there may well be trying days ahead, and it will become EXTREMELY important to help advance the idea of a CONFESSING Church.

Old Saint George and the vision there, articulated tirelessly and up against oft-discouraging odds, because this has been a CALL for Larry all these years. I just wanted to blog here and begin these thoughts about how to begin to think again in specific strategies and “Web tools” such as blogging and information systems to help manage the various tasks that are neccessary to making this vision work.
