Delay Must Go

This post by KOS linking to an article in the Washinton Post should be seen as the signs that the Republicans have taken corruption to a new level. A BIPARTISAN committee (which includes 5 of their own number, is having their charges dismissed:

Republicans responded with a flood of statements defending DeLay, ridiculing the charges and blaming vengeful Democrats for the fuss.

Daily Kos :: Pelosi takes it to DeLay

Ridiculing the charges? The bipartisan ethics committee issued the four “admonishments”, while on the fifth charges, DeLay faces criminal indictment.
But never mind. The Democrats lost the House because their long-time hold on the body was marred with increased corruption and disdain for the people’s business. The GOP is headed down the same path.
If the GOP was smart, they’d ditch DeLay and show the country that they can police themselves. Instead, they are handing Democrats the ammunition they need to fumigate the place.

Religious Right Christians ought to be thinking about whether or not they want to be associated with a guy who may well soon be immersed in scandal (which he already is in the eyes of all but the most partisan Republicans). Delay’s involvement with Indian gambling is disgusting to me, an indicator of extreme correuption and hypocrisy (given that Delay lends his name to anti-gambling legislation)
