CBS News, unfortunately, took the teeth out of this story with their sloppy handling of it. But in fact, both Jerry Killian’s boss, and his secretary have now coorborated the key piece of evidence put forth in the forgeries – that Bush, in fact, received special treatment in response to his failure to “honorably” fulfill his commitment.
The President owes the country some answers. For the past decade, he has asserted that he “served honorably,” and yet we now have eyewitness evidence to the contrary.
It’s one thing to have ghosts in your closet about which you may not be proud. It’s another entirely to lie to the American people about them.
Just ask Bill Clinton.
