The bitter cold sweeping the country right now is likely dampening (to some significant degree) the size and breadth of the protest of MAGA/Trump/Musk/DOGE , and makes me wonder if we shouldn’t be gearing up for an “American Spring” of the size and significance of the “Arab Spring” (which many point to as the seeds that sprouted in the U.S. shortly after in the Occupy Wall Street movement. That movement was somewhat forcefully undercut and “swept” from Public Squares across the country by the Obama Administration (which I’ve never really gotten over, and shouldn’t). But I think we can safely say that everything that OWS was about has metastasized since then, and come to an ugly, horrific head in Trump Administration 2.0 (and it’s evil Project 2025 Agenda).

Let’s do this. Come , Spring weather, come. Beckon us with the open arms of outdoorsy weather, so that the people might come out in droves and the might of numbers and voices.
