Working on what kind of start to make

I have been “stalling” under the guise of “determining my brand/style” for EcoEcclesia and the dream/goal of launching a Webcast network using my now 3 and a half month-old Tricaster Mini.  Dennis Benson,  my friend and Communications seminary professor from my days at United Theological Seminary (1990-91) was expressing to me yesterday his sense of urgency that such missions as this “get moving”.  This came up when I had somewhat “laid the blame” on my delay in getting this thing launched on my feeling that I didn’t yet have the right style, beginning with the music part of that (the theme/soundtrack music for EcoEcclesia).  He replied : “Dale! You’re in Nashville! There are 10,000 musicians that don’t have a gig!  [Go out and find a for EcoEcclesia musician that shares your passion for this and who can write the song(s), Paraphrase ]”  And ,  as it turns out, Dennis then says “There’s this guy, in Nashville,  had some hit records, and is a United Methodist….”  and I said “Gene Cotton?”   was the musician I had in mind for about a month now but struggling to work up the courage to approach about this.  So this morning I got a phone number from a website of an organization in Leipers Fork,  where he lives, and have been waiting (again),  to work up the nerve and rehearse the words.
(Update:  I made the call,  and Gene answered,  and we had a nice conversation.  He remembered me from 15 years ago when we both were attending Edgehill UMC,  and from a couple conversations during that time.  BUT,  Gene is presently about to head back to Nicaragua,  where he leads a ministry project.  (I had seen a couple of the videos about the work being done there.  Good to see that has been a ministry with longevity.)   But for me,  as for now,  I am still looking for the music elements for EcoEcclesia.)
