I may have wrongly attributed a quote to JKA Smith that may have been from here, in Pastor John’s blog.  Pastor John is one who I tend to agree with on just about everything.  Same goes for Jamie Smith.  I just have a little trouble with the characterization of Wallis as a member of the “Religious Left”. I think that may seem to be the case if one looks only at his public pronouncements and a lot of the “buzz” about his God’s Politics book takes place in “leftist” contexts.  The fact that I conflated Pastor John with Jamie Smith kind of underscores how I tend to hear some of those critiques coming from them in many instances when they don’t mention Wallis explicitly.  As I’ve said before,  I’d love to hear some dialogue between Wallis and Jamie Smith.  But I thought I’d mention that it may not have been JKA Smith who was “guilty” of the “stab” this time.  I still continue to read and benefit and keep coming back for more of what they both of them have to say.
