The United States has the largest income inequality between the rich and the poor among developed nations throughout the world. This has been something that I have discussed before as a problem, while many around here feel that it is a perfectly normal and perfectly acceptable situation.

Well, a new study has been published in the February 2005 American Sociological Review arguing that national income inequality leads to increased political corruption. Brayden, over at Public Sociology, sums up their basis of their argument
