I’m looking for help,  tips,  plugins or extensions for Dreamweaver MX that deal with creating “New Since you last visited” kinds of notifications and linking.

My main motivation is to have an automatic “notification” on the site’s home page that alerts a logged in user that new posts have been added to the forums since they last visited.  It could also serve to allow me to point to many other “recently added or updated” items by making use of a “lastvisited” date/time stamp entry for that user in the user table,  and comparing that with the present systme date.
