This is where the Religious Right (this is what I will call them now; not Christians. I am through calling them Christians. Of course, Jesus still stands at the door and knocks, asking to be allowed into our hearts; ALWAYS. But unless this process is allowed to continuously operate, then we shut ourselves off from the directions that God has perpared for us. And we create a chasm, whcih grows as we allow oursleves to be distracted from the work of attentiveness to the spirit.

This Christmas (they just played a Christmas commerical on TV about “Holiday Spirit”, and my heart ached) we MUST proclaim the PRINCE OF PEACE. I recently heard from a friend who works with the Web work of Sojourners magazine, and have expected his call. I may have to email remind him. Right now, I feel desperate to respond, but I wonder when the rebound will begin. I’m stunned still. But I am feeling the anger and disgust. I want, however, to be EFECTIVE, and find that place of ministry where I can enable the conversations that need to be happening and extended in the Church.
