Rove is the ultimate irk

Talking Points Memo: by Joshua Micah Marshall: October 03, 2004 – October 09, 2004 Archives

Karl Rove tells Sean Hannity about ‘October Surprise’ he’s working on. “We’ve got a couple of surprises that we intend to spring,” says Rove.

This post today from Josh sends chills up my spine, given the propensity for inane “revelations” and the obsessions of pundits to affect public perception. And Rove has long been known for his stopping at nothing.

Still, maybe reality will continue to rear it’s ugly head on the Bush pile of coverups, lies, and Bush’s own political record (and perhaps we can see some more of the myriad of examples that show Bush “unfit for duty” (like being “unwiling to serve”, like being obseesively “uncurious” toward learning anything (and he still, as his own staff puts it to the press: “The President is not a big reader”)

I still shudder to think of the Rove reputation for “successful” smear and that his sliminess has been brought to bear in service to this monstrous evil that is the Bush administration.
