Colin Powell didn’t find out the truth back in 2001 by parachuting into Iraq and gathering his own information – he knew exactly what the rest of the Bush administration knew two years before the “new product” was launched – Saddam Hussein was disarmed and Iraq was not even a threat to Kuwait anymore. Now we all have exactly the same information spelled out in detail in Duelfer’s final report. In other words we got the truth from two people appointed by this administration – in February of 2001 and October of 2004 – everything in between was a lie.

As Bob Graham said, this President has done several things that are impeachable offenses of severity that far exceeds the sins of Bill Clinton. Nobody died because Clinton lied. The number of people hurt by failings is the one true test of how egregious a shortcoming is.
