I’ve long admired Kerry for his investigative leadership. Kerry has been a more distinguished investigator than any other Senator, bar none. His own investigation that lead to uncovering the Contra/drug running connection his Subcommittee on Terrorism, Narcotics, and International Operations (which showed the CIA looked the other way while the contras ran drugs), his exposure of Noriega’s drug connection, eventually leading to the takedown of BCCI (the bank of choice for drug-runners and terrorists, and on it goes.
Kerry has been at the lead of anti-terrorist activities for twenty years. The takedown of BCCI alone was a huge blow to terrorist operations, arguably the most significant non-military setback to terrorists in history.
So why doesn’t the Kerry campaign talk about his record in the Senate? It’s a mystery to me; he has a record to be very proud of.
