Make it 39

In an earlier post, I was commenting on the signs that said “destiny”, a nd said, “Yeah right, how many times have they made it , 30, 35?” 39! Here, the word means “It’s the destiny of most fans to have to endure , over and over, the same tedius, over-dramatic hype about a team with the baseball’s highest payroll, who bought their pitching staff” (all except for Pettite).

Nobody else is excited. In fact, this was a HUGE disappointment for most baseball fans. HUGE. The Red Sox -Cubs dream series would have been a “Field Of Dreams” type feel. Nope. Instead, we get to see the Yankees. How dramatic — NOT—-how utterly sickening—–I’ll be avoiding now , as much as possible, listening to and reading all the BS hype. Like I said before, nobody outside of Florida and New York gives a rip, except for the media people. Baseball needed a Field Of Dreams, and what we got instead was another ho-hum. Yeah, close, tense game, but the result. More of the same. Florida is a good story, but I’m so disappointed in the Cubs, I can’t even pull for them like I would for any team against the Yankees (maybe even the Braves by now, I’m so sick of the Yankees).
