@ColtsFan254 when we say “practical” we may really be saying “anything OTHER” than what challenges the system that shapes what we think is
@ColtsFan254 when we say “practical” we may really be saying “anything OTHER” than what challenges the system that shapes what we think is
@ColtsFan254 problem with “stick to practical” is that “practical” is prisoner to the preferences of the economic powers that be
@ColtsFan254 that means increased economic incentive toward electric cars (moving beyond hybrids, but that stair step is in right direction)
@ColtsFan254 a lot of what is “practical” is determined by political will and the degree of encouragement/incentive of our economic system
@ColtsFan254 we should do a Google Hangout or Skype sometime…..I enjoy our exchanges
@ColtsFan254 well sure…me too….but no time to waste on working on our economic engine to orient us toward faster and faster conversion
@ColtsFan254 cuz the longer we delay …the less we prevent or ameliorate
@ColtsFan254 so all of these have to be undertaken with the urgency in mind
@ColtsFan254 that’s a collective one, but it syncs with an individual one: to work on the church level to raise awareness in that collective
@ColtsFan254 this may take a day or two….but major will be getting off fossil fuels ASAP, with attention to how urgently (fast)
@ColtsFan254 that has opened up such an awesome theological exploration for me. Thanks again. I will attribute the question to you.
@ColtsFan254 regardless of your reply, that is a great subject for a blog post. Thanks! might do 10 of each ( individual, collective)
@ColtsFan254 as individuals, collectives, or all of the above?
Climate forcings multiply &accelerate the more we up the ante, then put into the pipe to be visited upon the ” beneficiaries” of our neglect
Our present energy usage is like opening a 30-year CD of warming to be cashed & visited upon them..plus increased forcing compounded. Shame
