Wondering what happened that “pushed me over the edge” on climate change

Reading the introduction in the Kindle sample of Don’t Even Think About It: Why Our Brains Are Wired to Ignore Climate Change by George Marshall . I am intrigued with not only what drives people to reject the notion of a climate crisis, but also my own experience of experiencing a “Demascus Road” experience (or “Come to Jesus moment”) re: the crisis. Click to go buy this bookI know it happened sometime during my reading of Naomi Klein ‘s This Changes Everything, but am intrigued with knowing just what it took to tip me over that “edge” from being “in agreement” to becoming a passionate devotee to applying all that I can and all my abilities to helping increase a movement to stand in the way of this insane race to destroy our planet, and to enable a way forward to the alternatives we have to explore to adapt to this EAARTH (as Bill McKibben says it in his book about how we live on a different earth now than that on which we had been accustomed to living). I have often wondered exactly what I had to realize or accept in order to allow myself to fully feel the impact and the resulting compulsion (even CALLING) to respond very differently.
