Participants should be made aware that people are uncomfortable. This enables some chance at reconciliation & self-moderation going forward.
We dont see churches putting a lock on the door to a Sunday School class the week after a “contentious discussion”. Shouldn’t do so online.
When trying to do online community, esp. church related, should NEVER close comments without giving participants a chance at self-moderating
